Kindred

Privacy

Kindred is a dating service for adults. We start city by city and are growing worldwide. This page is what we actually store, not a lawyer's template.

What we keep

Your email, whether that email is confirmed, a hashed password, the profile you write (name, age, city, country, identity, photos, prompts), who you like or pass, matches, chat, blocks, and reports. Session cookies are httpOnly. We do not sell this to advertisers.

Who sees you

Signed-in members who pass your filters can see your profile. Matches can see chat. Pause hides you from Discover; it does not delete matches. Block and report hide both of you from each other.

Photos

Uploaded photos live in private object storage and are served through Kindred to people who are signed in. Seeded demo photos come from Unsplash.

Reports

If you report someone, we store the reason and your note so a Kindred admin can read it. The other person is not told you reported them.

Email

We email you to confirm the address and to reset a password. Mail is sent through Resend, with replies going to the Kindred admin address. You can delete your account from You.

Kindred Guide

Guide is an optional AI coach in the app. It is labeled as AI and is not a member of Discover. If you ask it to review a match, we send it your profile plus that one thread so it can suggest replies. You still send every message yourself. Guide chats are stored with your account and deleted if you delete the account. If a language-model key is configured, that provider also receives the text you asked Guide to read.

Delete your account

You → delete account removes your profile, photos, likes, matches, and chats. Reports about you may stay so we can still see a pattern.
